Cranberry Sauce

Holiday season is upon us!!! If you haven’t found a great cranberry sauce recipe, this one by @flavcity is amazing! 🎊

I’m the most serious person about cranberry sauce. If you didn’t have the whole berry cranberry sauce in a can, I wasn’t eating it. The homemade cranberry sauce recipes were always way too zesty and tart. This one is phenomenal! And super easy! I made mine in advance and have been sneaking bites of it before Christmas 😋🙃


1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1/4 cup pure cranberry juice

1 cup local honey or maple syrup

1 lb fresh or frozen cranberries

1/4 teaspoon salt

Zest of half an orange


1. Zest the orange before juicing it. Set zest aside.

2. Bring both juices & the honey to a simmer in a medium size pot.

3. Add the cranberries and salt, and simmer for 15 minutes until they pop and the mixture thickens, stirring often. You will know the sauce is ready when the cranberries are soft and mashable.

4. Scoop sauce in to a clean bowl and top with orange zest. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
